SIG Sauer P220

First and foremost: this is a seriously stylish weapon. The aluminium frame has since been replaced by a stainless steel version, which adds to its charm. In 1975, the Swiss Army called for a replacement for the SIG P210, which had been in use since the Second World War. Swiss Arms Group decided to produce the guns in Germany to increase the total numbers available for export, and so collaborated with J.P. Sauer & Sons to make the SIG-Sauer P220. Since then, it has gone from strength to strength, and has gone on to be the basis for a whole family of weapons. It might look great, but this is also a serious weapon which weighs a substantial 800g. This makes it feel like a proper handgun - one which is popular with weapon enthusiasts throughout the world. Take a look at the mighty 45 ACP cartidges it uses.
