This round was originally developed for the Browning Machine Gun (hence the BMG), coming into service as an anti-aircraft weapon in around 1921. It was based distantly on the 30-06 round - but massively scaled up to achieve some ridiculous statistics: armor-piercing loads can go through almost an inch of hardened steel armor at 100 years, and 3/4" at over 500 yards......
Today, everyone has heard of the "50 cal" and gamers especially delight on getting their hands on them. Want a piece of the legend? Due to the size, we can't mount them on keyrings or necklaces like other calibers so you've got 2 options - an awesome paperweight for your desk or as a show-stopping bottle opener (COMING SOON). NOTE - we are struggling to get hold of FMJ military heads so are using Stainless Steel heads in the interim.
