Overwhelmingly, the Model 29 is associated with one man: Dirty Harry. This big .44 first popped up in the late 50s, but it wasn't until a bouffanted Clint made it famous that its popularity skyrocketed to the extent that stores had a problem keeping up with demand.... These days, they are still extremely popular and despite having been discontinued in the late 90s there will always be some new variant or special edition evolution to keep the legend alive.
