Tony Montana is a Cuban who wants everything - money, girls, power and fame. He therefore moves to America in search of the American Dream, and starts to earn large amounts of money through his involvement with the drugs trade. As he rises to the top through crime and corruption, he explains that, "in this country, you gotta make the money first. Then, when you get the money, you get the power. Then, when you get the power, then you get the women." When Tony's boss, Frank, unsuccessfully tries to get rid of him, Tony orders him to be killed. He then seizes all his property, and starts up a business connection with a drug lord called Sosa in Bolivia. Eventually, his life of luxury loses out to his life of crime. He is threatened with a jail sentence and a hefty fine, and so flees to his colleague, Sosa, who offers sanctuary in return for assistance. Tony is therefore forced stop a journalist informing the United Nations of Sosa's illegal operations. He agrees, but pulls out when the journalist's family get in the car they were preparing to destroy. Sosa is infuriated by the betrayal, and starts to enlist his own forces to stage a full-scale attack on Tony's mansion. For Tony, time is rapidly running out...
